AMARAVATI: Andhra Pradesh State Handloom Weavers Cooperative Society (APCO) management’s decision to enter into wholesale market is a big leap to make its mark on the national and international footprint, minister Mekapati Gautam Reddy said on Wednesday.
The minister said that it would help the weavers grab big market share across the country. He said that Apco’s innovative marketing strategies will surely make it a best destination for handlooms across the globe. Reddy also unveiled the catalogue of the APCO clothing range at his camp office in Vijayawada.
Speaking to the media, Mekapati said that thousands of handloom workers in the state would get full-time employment if the marketing of handloom textiles is promoted with the support of the wholesale markets. (Source: timesofindia.indiatimes.com)
