Cotton: Net Upland sales of 185,700 running bales for the 2012/2013 marketing year were up 98 percent from the previous week, but down 5 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases were reported for China (57,100 RB, including late reporting of 40,100 RB), Mexico (40,900 RB), Turkey (36,700 RB), Thailand (19,500 RB), Taiwan (9,800 RB), and Vietnam (8,900 RB). Decreases were reported for Pakistan (6,600 RB).

Net sales of 171,500 RB for delivery in the 2013/2014 marketing year were primarily for Mexico (152,400 RB). Exports of 357,900 RB were down 19 percent from the previous week, but up 6 percent from the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were China (147,600 RB, including late reporting of 27,600 RB), Turkey (55,700 RB), Pakistan (38,400 RB), Vietnam (36,800 RB), Mexico (25,300 RB), and Indonesia (8,200 RB). Net American Pima sales of 23,500 RB for the 2012/2013 marketing year were down 23 percent from the previous week and 8 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases were reported for India (11,600 RB), China (3,800 RB), Egypt (2,600 RB), South Korea (2,600 RB), and Pakistan (1,100 RB).

Net sales of 17,600 RB for delivery in the 2013/2014 marketing year were primarily for China (7,000 RB) and India (5,500 RB). Exports of 15,300 RB were up 3 percent from the previous week, but down 8 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases were primarily to China (8,300 RB), India (2,200 RB), Peru (2,000 RB), and Pakistan (1,500 RB).

Optional Origin Sales: For MY 2012/2013, options were exercised to export 1,100 RB to Thailand from the United States. Options were exercised to export 500 RB to South Korea from the United States. Outstanding optional origin sales total 259,500 RB, and are for China (236,800 RB), South Korea (19,300 RB), Thailand (3,100 RB), and Vietnam (300 RB).  Exports for Own Account: Exports for own account totaling 6,700 RB were reported to China.
