Ms. Preeti M. Sheth, President, All India Exporters’ Chamber (AIEC) while commenting on the Budget proposal for the year 2013- 2014 announced by Finance Minister, said that the continuation of Technology Up-gradation Fund Scheme (TUFS), for Textile Sector in the 12th Plan and setting up of Integrated Textile Park and also introducing a Scheme for Apparel Park and a new scheme for Integrated Processing Development Park will go a long way for expanding Textile Sector and improving the exports. Readymade Garment Industry will also get a boost by readjustment of duty on cotton fibre and Manmade fibre, She said.
AIEC Chief said that the budget has emphasized savings, investment and expansion. The President also welcomed various proposals related to socio-economic development, such as NREGA, Food Security etc. which will be beneficial to a large number of people.
