Uchana: A mass marriage of seven girls will be organized on January 22 at the local cotton market. 

A meeting of the Shriram Parivar Charitable Trust was held on Sunday regarding this. Preparations were discussed in this.

Dr. Suresh Gupta said that organizing a mass marriage is a social work and it is also an effective medium to bring positive change in the lives of the needy sections of society. 

Mass marriage rises above the discrimination of caste, religion and class and gives the message of equality and brotherhood in the society. Its chief guest will be Deputy Speaker Dr. Krishna Middha and special guests will be Uchana MLA Devendra Atri and Uchana Nagar Palika Pradhan Vikas Kala. 

There will be a grand court as well as flower shower at the Sankirtan venue. 

He informed that in the mass marriage, household items which include double bed, mattress, bedsheet, steel cupboard, box, four chairs, table, fan, 51 pieces of utensils, iron, watches (ladies and gents), wall clock, jewellery like silver anklet, ring, toe ring, 21 pieces ladies suit, two pieces gents suit, blanket, lehenga-chunni, make-up items, suitcases for both the sides and 11-11 kg of sweets will be arranged.
