Merchandise imports in the month rose by 24.1 per cent YoY to $63.7 billion, leading to a trade deficit of $27.1 billion.
The trade deficit was lower in February last year at $14.4 billion on a sequential basis. It narrowed in February this year from $34.7 billion in January.
Exports of goods and services stood at $790.86 billion between April 2025 and February 2026—up by 5.8 per cent YoY. Exports of goods grew by 1.8 per cent YoY during the period at $402.9 billion.
