Source: PRESS RELEASE

We are very proud to announce that Cotton Association of India (CAI) has been awarded ISO: 9001:2015, an internationally recognised standard which is a testimony to the fact that the cotton testing and other services rendered by this Association to the entire cotton value chain in India meet the requirements of the cotton industry through an effective quality management system.

This ISO: 9001:2015 certification has been awarded to the entire CAI office in Mumbai and all its cotton testing and research laboratories based in Mumbai, Rajkot, Aurangabad, Warangal, Adilabad, Kadi and Yavatmal.

Additionally, we have also acquired NABL accreditation of our Mumbai Laboratory and NABL accreditation of our Rajkot laboratory is near completion.

While we have developed and implemented our quality management system in order to improve the overall performance, we at CAI strongly believe that there is always a room for further improvement.

Our next goal is to achieve ICA-Bremen certification for our Mumbai laboratory.

We remain committed to serve the cotton and textile industry and to meet our commitment to the sector more effectively in close coordination with all stakeholders.  It will also not be out of place to mention here that the CAI will be completing 99 years of its glorious services to the Indian cotton sector and enter its 100th year in October this year.

At this juncture, I profusely thank you all for the invaluable and continued support extended by you to us in our onward journey and for providing us an inspiration to maintain high level of quality and a sound basis for sustainable development initiatives.
