Cotton futures are up by triple digits through midday, with July gaining 106 points. New crop prices are up to tighten the spread, with 113 to 34 point gains.
The Cotlook A index dropped another 75 points to 161.70. USDA’s AWP is 8.5 cents higher at 147.1 cents/lb. Jul 22 Cotton is at 143.39, up 45 points, Dec 22 Cotton is at 124.99, up 82 points, Mar 23 Cotton is at 119.91, up 100 points. (Source: www.barchart.com)
